1. Is Flextronics Direct affiliated with Flextronics Coporation?

FLEXTRONICS DIRECT is the remarketing arm of Flextronics Corporation. Flextronics is a leading global provider of electronics manufacturing and integrated supply chain management services. Through FLEXTRONICS DIRECT we provide you with an opportunity to purchase quality, refurbished computer systems and peripherals.

All computer systems made available for sale on FLEXTRONICS DIRECT are refurbished by Flextronics USA Inc. in our Memphis facilities. Prior to being made available for sale, we perform a stringent refurbishment process to help ensure customer satisfaction. Each system meets strict cosmetic condition requirements, conforms to all tests for functionality and is individually packaged prior to being made available on our online computer store.

2. What is the condition of the equipment?

Products are listed with a designation for condition. New, Used, Refurbished or As-is are the primary designations used. Refurbished products made available for sale on FLEXTRONICS DIRECT have completed a stringent refurbishment process to help ensure customers' satisfaction. Each system is graded on its cosmetic condition, tested for functionality, cleaned and individually packaged prior to being made available on our online computer store.

3. Can I customize / upgrade the system I am interested in?

Systems are already boxed for sale and can not be modified prior to shipment.

4. Does my purchase include any application software?

It will vary from system to system. Each system will have details regarding the operating system and/or any included application software..

5. Does an AC adapter come with the item I am viewing?

An AC adapter ships with each notebook.

6. Does FLEXTRONICS DIRECT Export?

FLEXTRONICS DIRECT does not ship items outside of the United States. The credit card used for the purchase must also have a billing address in the USA. The credit card billing address must match the billing address provided in your checkout.

7. Why is tax charged and how much tax will be assessed to my purchase?

Flextronics Direct is required to collect and remit sales tax on all items sold based on our business operations. Sales tax is calculated based on the "ship to" location rate during the checkout process. Contact Flextronics Direct at our customer service email address, prior to placing an order if you wish to use a valid tax exemption certificate for your purchase. We'll require copy of the applicable certificate and will require processing time to validate, approve and assist in creating your order using an exemption.

8. When will my order ship?

Shipping typically occurs within 2 business days of FLEXTRONICS DIRECT receiving your completing your order information with payment processed. When your order ships, a shipping confirmation email including tracking information will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

9. Is there an option for same day shipping?

At this time FLEXTRONICS DIRECT does not guarantee same day shipping from the date the order was completed as we generally require 1-2 business days to process and ship an order. For Overnight and 2nd Day shipping options, your estimate for delivery should be from the date we ship the order, not the date that your checkout is completed. Overnight and 2 Day shipping rates do not include Saturday delivery.

10. I opted for Next Day (2nd Day) delivery, however the system arrived three (four) days later.

FLEXTRONICS DIRECT requires 1-2 business days to process and ship your order, delivery times should be calculated from your receipt date of our shipping confirmation email.

11. Can I ship my order outside of the United States?

FLEXTRONICS DIRECT sales are limited to the United States only; therefore FLEXTRONICS DIRECT can only fulfill orders with billing AND shipping addresses in the 50 United States and District of Columbia. APO/FPO addresses and US Territories are not able to be shipped to at the present time.

12. Do these systems have warranty, can it be extended or can I buy an additional warranty?

Flextronics does not provide warranty on products sold. See each product for the commercial manufacturer's warranty. We offer a 30 Day Return for applicable products and customers as outlined in our terms and conditions. For applicably listed Sony VAIO product, the product has a 90 day warranty from Sony starting from the date we ship the product to you. Should you have an issue with an applicable Sony system that requires repair, please contact Sony tech support at http://esupport.sony.com/

13. What is the return policy?

Subject to the following requirements, Customer may return the Products, except those noted as sold "As-Is" in the product listing, within thirty (30) days from the date of shipment and obtain a credit or refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping and handling charges). This return policy is not valid for reseller purchases. To return the Products, Customer must email FLEXTRONICS DIRECT at to receive a Return Materials Authorization (RMA). Customer must ship the Products to FLEXTRONICS DIRECT in their original packaging and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment, all of which shall be at Customer's expense. The original sales invoice(s) must accompany the returned Products. To be eligible for return, the Products must be in same condition as when shipped to Customer and all of the manuals, diskettes, power cords, software and other items shipped with the Products must also be included. No returns will be allowed for Products that are damaged while in Customer's possession or control.

14. I have received my computer and have an issue with the packaging / configuration / functionality. Who should I contact?

Please email and provide your order number along with a description of the issue.
